Unified Carrier & Enterprise Hub for Global SMS and Voice Routing
Home > Products Solutions > Unified VAS and Network Solutions > SMS & Voice Hub
SMS Hub is a carrier and enterprise interconnect platform that sits at the core of the SMS and voice value chain. It onboards carriers on one side and enterprises on the other, then routes every SMS message or voice call across the least cost, highest quality, or operator defined path — giving enterprises the best possible terms without giving up visibility or control. As a service within 6D’s CPaaS suite, SMS Hub becomes the routing backbone for any enterprise or campaign platform that needs to terminate messages and calls reliably, at scale, across carrier networks.
Every message or call that passes through SMS Hub generates a CDR, and every CDR is rated against the carrier and enterprise agreements in force at that moment. Billing and collections stay with the CPaaS platform; SMS Hub’s job is to onboard, route, meter, and report with precision — so pricing, quality, and settlement all trace back to a single, auditable source of truth.
Features
SMS Hub onboards carriers into a single administrative view, profile details, service documentation, and commercial terms are captured once and managed centrally. Each carrier’s status runs through a defined state machine (active, suspended, inactive), giving the admin full control over which routes are live at any moment.
Every enterprise chooses how its SMS or voice traffic moves: Least Cost Routing for the most economical path, Quality of Service routing for guaranteed delivery performance, or static, operator-defined routes for full predictability. The routing decision is made against the live pool of onboarded carriers, with the enterprise’s selected strategy applied automatically to every message.
Rate cards are defined per carrier, per destination country — origin never factors into the price, since every message terminates through the Hub regardless of where the enterprise sits. Rates can be published and displayed in multiple currencies, giving carriers and enterprises pricing that matches their market.
Every SMS or voice transaction that moves through SMS Hub produces a Call Detail Record, rated instantly against the applicable rate card. These rated CDRs feed directly into the CPaaS metering and billing layer, so enterprises are charged accurately, and carriers are paid against a verifiable transaction trail.
Connectors are the transport layer of SMS Hub — SS7/Sigtran, SMPP or HTTP interfaces that move traffic between enterprise and Hub, and between Hub and carrier. The admin configures and maps each connector, forming the transit path every message travels end to end.
Define daily, weekly, and monthly quota profiles once, then assign them to any connector. Because SMS Hub sits as the transit point between every enterprise and every carrier, it enforces these limits consistently on both sides — no enterprise or carrier route exceeds its assigned ceiling.
